Hustle Up Street Ball!
Street ball began over 20 years ago in a NYC playground "The Rucker Park." “The Rucker” transformed the local basketball league in Harlem into one of the best playgrounds for hoops on the planet with the likes of Nate Archibald and Wilt Chamberlain. The Rucker has witnessed over 10,000 people come to see great performances, tricks and how the players add an element of fun to the game. Today’s street ball players have been called the next generation "Harlem Globetrotters".
The player’s talents are known throughout the U.S and have gained national attention in commercials with Nike, ESPN and Mountain Dew. Street ball has opened up opportunities for the players such as; entry into the NBA and movie careers.
The Hustle-Up Streetball Tour has been touring competitively since 2004. This tour is a guaranteed crowd pleasing and high energy event that has traveled to select cities around the United States.
Hustle Up is dedicated to showcasing this unique and extraordinary playground-style basketball to the youth of various communities. Because streetball has been limited to the major cities, we at “Hustle Up” bring the hottest streetball players to the smaller markets. The Hustle up Streetball tour began over 3 years ago with only 10 tour dates. We are currently in planning our 2008 35 city tour. When we visit these towns and communities we feel it is essentially important for the players not only to show off their basketball skills but to speak to the students about the importance of education and staying away from gangs. Whenever the Hustle Up Tour stops in a city our mission is first to reach out to troubled kids, we visit local youth organizations, speak to the kids and give them reasons to believe in themselves, we then stop at one of the local pediatrics hospitals to touch those who are sick and unable to attend the games. Last but not least we play the most exciting and energetic basketball game you have ever seen. Our world-renowned streetball tour includes top streetball legends from all over the country. To make the games exciting, we challenge the top area players in each market to test their skills against the players.
If you are a promoter or a representative of an organization and are interested in having the tour in your city, please contact us so that we can make it happen. |
